History
The Division of Legal Affairs is a division under the Office of the President. It was originally established as the “Office of Legal Affairs,” an internal unit of Khon Kaen University under the Office of the President, by Khon Kaen University Announcement No. 167/2007, dated February 6, 2007. Its primary mandate was to provide legal advice, consultation on governmental regulations, and legal services.
Subsequently, its status was elevated to the “Division of Legal Affairs” in accordance with Khon Kaen University Announcement No. 312/2018 on the restructuring of the Office of the President, dated February 12, 2018. Furthermore, under Khon Kaen University Announcement No. 120/2019 on the subdivision of units under the Office of the President, dated January 14, 2019, the University transferred the functions related to disciplinary and appeals affairs, previously under the Human Resource Division, as well as complaint management, previously under the Division of University Policy Promotion, to be consolidated under the Division of Legal Affairs.
