On July 4, 2025, the Legal and Corporate Communications Division and the Legal Affairs Division, led by Mrs. Nutthasamon Thanakunrangsarit, Vice President for Legal and Corporate Communications, and Mrs. La-ongdao Somdeeveradech, Acting Director of the Legal Affairs Division, organized a project titled “Promotion of Legal Awareness and Good Practices Based on the Principles of Good Governance.” The focus of the training was on case studies concerning tort liability related to procurement and finance, disciplinary proceedings concerning academic work production and dissemination, and staff capacity building through data management. The event took place at Wishing Tree Resort, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province.
The objective of the project was to enhance understanding of good governance principles in public administration among Khon Kaen University staff and to study relevant administrative court rulings as case studies, aiming to prevent legal mistakes or disputes in areas such as procurement, finance, and academic publishing. The project also aimed to raise internal management standards within the university, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with legal and governance principles.
The event featured Mr. Pattarasak Thammasirirak, Director of the Strategic Planning Division, as the guest speaker in the morning session on the topic “Google Sheets for Work.” In the afternoon, knowledge-sharing sessions were held on the topic “Case Studies on Tort Liability Related to Procurement and Finance,” led by the Head of Legal and Litigation Section and Mr. Weerasak Saensa-at, Legal Officer (Senior Professional Level), and the topic “Case Studies on Disciplinary Action Related to the Production and Dissemination of Academic Work,” presented by the Head of Disciplinary and Appeals Section and Ms. Songsuda Thoongkaew, Senior Expert Level Legal Officer.
